China Glaze Seas and Greetings; Holiday/Winter 2016

Morning dolls.  I've got a big post to share with you this morning.  First of all I'm a little behind on this one so it's likely you have seen this collection already.  Second, that's ok because what's one more post featuring a unique spin on Winter and holiday shades?!  China Glaze did an amazing job with this collection, I love the colors and finishes.  Seas and Greetings is a clever play on words but also tells much about the inspiration for the collection.  These are beach worthy colors that will transition into Spring perfectly.  They are available now so head to your local beauty supply and spend that left over Christmas money!

Up first is one of my favorites of the collection, Snow Way.  It's a soft shimmery shade of white with a slight blue tint, and loads of coppery/red shimmer.  But the shimmery doesn't overwhelm the base, it adds the perfect ethereal glow.  I used 3 coats for almost full coverage, you can ever so slightly see my nail line.  I fished with topcoat.  If you are only going to get 1 polish from this collection, get this one!

Let's Shell-ebrate is a pink and gold glitter in a lightly tinted pink base.  It's pretty and makes a nod to the ever so popular rose gold shade.  I found the glitter payoff to be great, I only needed 1 coat for a nice helping of bling.  I used Let's Shell-ebrate over Snow Way.  Finished with topcoat.

Sand in my Mistle-Toes is a peachy nude creme.  It's a pretty color, slightly reminiscent of the unwashed neons from Summers past.  Formula was great, creamy and opaque.  I only needed 2 coats for full coverage.  Dries shiny so no topcoat needed.

Twinkle Twinkle is a shimmery green topper.  It reminds me of abalone shells and mermaid tails and sea foam.  It's a very pretty polish that'll add bling to any mani!  I used 2 coats for a satisfactory among of sparkle over Sand in my Mistle-toes.

Eat, Pink, Be Merry is another of my favorites.  It's a sheer, glowy pastel pink with gorgeous shimmer.  This one is a bit sheer but it's such a princess pink I can't resist it and don't even care that I've got some VNL.  I used 3 coats and finished with a layer of topcoat.

Warm Wishes is another favorite (I promise I don't have 12 favorites, haha).  It's a medium toned pink-coral with same tone shimmer.  Gorgeous, absolutely gorgeous.  I'm going to wear this now and stash it away for Summer wear!  Formula and application were both fabulous.  I used 2 coats and topcoat to finish.

Good Tide-ings is a perfect periwinkle creme.  Amazing color, it'll be great for a base color for nail art (I'm thinking Valentines Day and Spring art).  Formula and application are both amazing, creamy and opaque.  This is easily a one-coater, but since I am a light handed painter I used 2.  No topcoat needed.

Partridge in a Palm is a seafoam green with shimmer AND it's a matte!  I love love love the color.  The formula was a little tricky, as you can see it was a bit streaky.  You'll need to work fast because it dries fast.  So I used 3 coats to even it up and used as few brushstrokes as possible.  No topcoat used, but you could if you wanted a glossy finish.

I *think* this is my last favorite of the collection.  Tis the Sea Sun, a vibrant orange bordering on neon.   It's AWESOME!  But I love neons so I'm biased.  But this has a fabulous formula and application (and color).  Only 2 coats needed for great coverage and no topcoat because this baby is glossy on it's own.

Moving along, only a few more, hang in there!  This is The More The Berrier, a shimmery berry shade.  Cute name too, right?  It's kind of a raspberry shade and it's really pretty.  Awesome formula and appellation.  2 coats used for full coverage, no topcoat necessary.

Seas and Greetings, sigh, so beautiful.  This medium toned purple has some gorgeous fuchsia shimmer and I just love these color together.  To my IRL eyes it's a bit of a dusty color, looks a little more vibrant in my picture.  The formula was on the sheer/thin side.  I used 3 coats for full coverage and no topcoat.

Last but not least is Joy to the Waves, a dusty denim blue with golden shimmer.  Looks like the sun reflecting on the ocean.  I did find the shimmer a bit heavy and it caused a frosty look but it is manageable.   You can see my nail lines a bit so it is sheer-ish.  I used 3 coats and no topcoat.
